The United States of America is the guest of honor at the Colombian Aeronautic Fair
The XI edition of F-AIR Colombia 2019, the main scenario in Colombia and one of the most important in Latin America, where entrepreneurs from the civil and military sector, aircraft manufacturers, aviation enthusiasts and the general public meet in one place, brings as guest of honor country he United States, the first economy in the world and the Nation leader in scientific and technological advances for the aeronautical sector.
During F-AIR Colombia 2019, The United States will present its air show of the Thunderbirds, known as the aerial demonstration squadron of the US Air Force, which is in charge of eight pilots aboard F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, equipped for the show and that has no military use.
Over the four days of F-AIR, attendees can enjoy a static display of American aircraft made up of four F-16 of the South Carolina Air National Guard (SCANG). In addition, there will be a flyby of Boeing B-52 aircraft, an airplane created in 1960 that symbolizes US military air power.
Additionally, the Fair will have eight exhibitors from the USA as well as representatives of companies from other countries, for example: Dassault Falcon Jet Corporation, a world leader in the design, manufacture and sale of combat aircraft and commercial aircraft; Gulf Coast Avionics Corporation, the major supplier of avionics and aviation services; and Milex Inc, a company that has been developing innovative products for the personal protection for the world's defense forces for 125 years.
Colombia has become a nation with potential in the aerial industry, has a qualified workforce and outstanding knowledge in engineering. For several years, for example, the CIAC (Corporation of the Colombian Aviation Industry) has excelled in the manufacture of spare parts for aircraft and recently is demonstrating a great advance in maintenance of Black Hawk helicopters.
